REDWOOD NATIONAL PARK – Ossagon

After that intense hike the day before, we took it easy at our camp site. We installed a solar power entry light and impressed our fellow campers with our flamingos (Thanks ABC!).  Later that afternoon, we hiked the Ossagon Trail down through the forest and to the beach. We picked blackberries and mint at the end of the trail. The beach was empty except an elk slowly eating it’s way down the beach. We perched ourselves on a rock and did a short sit-spot meditation and then just watched the elk for most of the lazy afternoon.
