We took our first trip to Cachuma Lake, a man-made lake near Santa Barbara. We learned how to hook up the RV and later how to dump out the waste water. It wasnt too bad, right Moon? There wasn’t too much to do on the lake. We took a boat out for a few hours,  harassed birds and ate snacks. They also had a cool nature center because there are tons of birds on the lake. That night we invented a new food item- a nan-dog- roasted hotdog wrapped with nan. So amazing.  The next day we went to Solvang- the faux danish town near Santa Barbara. We ate the yummiest thing there called an aebelskiver- it’s like a pancake donut hole. That alone is worth trekking to this Disney-fied town.
